The AdventHealth Championship Birdies For Charity program is a matching fund program that benefits children in Kansas and Missouri. Organizations receive every penny they raise, plus up to a 10% match on every donation up to $5,000 in total matching funds. There is no minimum amount that must be raised to receive the match. It's a risk-free opportunity to raise additional funds year-round! Birdies For Charity is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 83-4249063).

How to Become a Participating Charity

In order to benefit from this matching fund program, participating charities must have a:

  • Current 501(c)(3) status as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

  • Portion of the organization's programming must target children and youth in the states of Kansas and Missouri. This includes K-12 schools.

  • Applications are reviewed on an annual basis.

How to Donate

Organizations may solicit donations two ways:

  1. Encourage donors to go to the AdventHealthChampionship.com website and donate via the Donate Now button.

  2. Collect pledges yourself, or hold your own fundraiser, and write the AdventHealth Championship Foundation a check for the lump-sum amount collected. A submittal form must be completed that itemizes the sources of the funds raised.

Individual donors may pledge two ways:

  1. Make a one-time, flat donation. 

  2. Pledge a per birdie amount based upon the number of birdies made by Korn Ferry Tour players during the 2021 AdventHealth Championship. There were 1,353 total birdies during the last playing of the AdventHealth Championship.

 

$50,000 is the maximum amount of pledges for each organization per program year that are eligible for the match.

Key Program Dates

Program begins October 1, 2020 and runs through July 31, 2021.

Collected pledge funds will be distributed as follows:

  • December 15, 2020 - for pledges received by November 30, 2020.

  • March 15, 2021 - for pledges received by February 28, 2021.

  • August 15, 2021 - for pledges received by July 31, 2021.

Pledges must be collected by July 31, 2021 to receive matching funds.

All matching funds will be distributed on August 15, 2021.

Program Resources

Booth at the AdventHealth Championship

  • Opportunity to promote your organization at the Birdies For Charity booth located at the Expo Village, just inside the tournament main gate.

Free Tickets

  • All participating organizations receive ten (10) general admission tickets to the AdventHealth Championship.

Database Login

  • Each organization is provided an online portal that allows them to view real-time donation totals in the program database.

Direct Donation Link

  • Each organization is provided a unique donation link that can be shared with donors via their website, email, social media, marketing materials, etc.

The key to success for the Birdies For Charity program is the matching fund – the more matching funds, the broader the impact to the participating charities. The Inside The Ropes Club is designed for those interested in supporting all Birdies For Charity organizations. A contribution to the Inside The Ropes Club goes directly towards the Birdies For Charity matching fund, while receiving unique Inside The Ropes benefits.
